Life shouldn't be about just doing your job. If you see something that needs to be done, do it, without being told to do it. No one likes to hear "I didn't do it, It's not my fault, It's not my job", etc. If you see something broke, fix it. Make every place you go better than how you found it.

"And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth; and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him." 1 Samuel 17:35 Doesn't sound like the actions of a spectator. David took action because he knew what needed to be done and did it.
Our experience ought to encourage us to trust in God and be bold in our duty as Christian men.
